On August 28, the first day of classes, Lehigh University kicked off the 2023 - 2024 academic year with an inaugural "Fall Community Welcome Lunch".

Lehigh Dining by Sodexo catered the event for all members of the Lehigh University community. Approximately 3,500 students, faculty and staff members attended the free celebration at Memorial Walkway on campus.

Traditional picnic fare was served, including burgers, hot dogs, black bean burgers, baked beans, macaroni salad, and coleslaw.
