Annual Fashion Show at Harcum a Grand Affair

All Fashion Majors and Fashion Faculty Planning, Promoting, and Implementing Event

(April 8, 2024)--(Bryn Mawr, PA)-- The much-anticipated Annual Fashion Show returns to Harcum College on Friday, April 26, 2024, in Klein Hall, Bryn Mawr Campus. Doors open at 7 p.m. The show steps off at 8 p.m.

This year’s event has been conceived to involve all fashion majors and fashion faculty every step of the way, from promoting to planning, from pop-up shops to custom print orders. This year’s show is expected to have a minimalistic tone, with clean, well-detailed designs. And all runway looks are the original creations of fashion design majors or composed looks assembled by fashion merchandising students.

Featured student designer Armani Saunders designed her business casual collection around what she hopes to be and who she imagines becoming as a working professional in the fashion world, created to both flatter and empower women. Student designer Lily Yach’s “Manhattan Whispers” collection is a timeless homage to the stylish women of the Upper East Side New York, offering elegance and practicality, “in equal measure,” for every occasion.

Harcum Fashion students have a unique opportunity to showcase their work on the runway beginning with their first year whereas competitor institutions only allow upperclassmen’s work to be featured. The students spend the entire year planning and sharing their designs for critiques from industry professionals towards showing the well-conceived and polished work for the springtime show. A host of industry professionals from the Philadelphia Fashion Community are attending the show to give students the most extensive showcase, which often results in opportunities to debut their work at larger professional venues such as Philly and even New York Fashion Week.

Show tickets are $20 and a smaller number of $50 VIP seats are available but going fast. All tickets can be purchased online only at www.harcum.edu/fashionshow.

New this year is a haute couture raffle for a $500 gift card to Veronica Beard in Suburban Square. Tickets can be purchased for $3 each or 10 for $20 at the door, cash sales only.
