Lower Merion Police said the dog found in Gladwyne recently was given to a Main Line rescue group.

GLADWYNE, PA — A dog found in Gladwyne recently was turned over to a local rescue group, according to police.
Lower Merion Police said a dog found Friday in the Gladwyne section of the township was turned over to 1 Love 4 Animals.
Police said the dog was blind.

1 Love 4 Animals was founded by Bill Smith, who founded Main Line Animal Rescue.
The group takes in dogs and cats from high-kill shelters, dogs and puppies rescued from puppy mills, animals impacted by natural disasters, or left homeless by personal tragedy or loss of habitat.
