Bryn Mawr Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested in Norristown

A man suspected of robberies in Plymouth and Lower Merion was apprehended in Norristown on Tuesday.

A suspect in bank robberies in Plymouth and Lower Merion has been apprehended in Norristown by SWAT teams in Curren Terrace, according to a report by the Times Herald.

SWAT teams were on the scene at about 1 p.m. on Tuesday, the report stated.

He was taken to the Plymouth Police Station to be charged, the Times Herald reported on Twitter.

According to Main Line Media News, Shawn Harris will face counts including robbery, simple assault and discharging a firearm in connection to the June 3 robbery at the Bank of America branch in Plymouth Township. Further investigation by the FBI is needed to determine if Harris is the same suspect for the May 14 robbery of the Wells Fargo Bank in Bryn Mawr.
