New Dining, Lifestyle Businesses Coming To City Ave In 2026
Chopt, Hammer & Nails Grooming Shop, and Naya are expected to open on City Avenue in Bala Cynwyd in summer 2026.
BALA CYNWYD, PA — City Avenue in Bala Cynwyd is getting a slate of new businesses next summer.
Federal Realty Investment Trust recently announced three new tenants on City Avenue.
Coming in 2026 are Chopt, Hammer & Nails Grooming Shop, and Naya to the recently announced Blayr residential building, which will feature 217 residential units.

The new tenants will occupy about 7,000 square feet on the street level of the development and are expected to open in summer 2026.

Choptwill occupy a 2,628-square-foot space. With the motto “Better Tastes Better,” Chopt offers salads, warm bowls, grilled wraps, and more.
Hammer & Nails Grooming Shop will occupy a 2,038-square-foot space and offers an experience crafted for men who value quality, style and the art of self-care. The Bala Cynwyd location will be one of two new Philadelphia-area locations for the franchise.
Naya, which will occupy 2,349 square feet, brings modern Lebanese cuisine to Bala Cynwyd. Naya offers build-your-own bowls, pitas, and salads featuring ingredients like hand-rolled grape leaves, house-made hummus, and shawarma.
"The addition of Chopt, Naya, and Hammer & Nails represents exactly the kind of thoughtful merchandising that sets Bala Cynwyd on City Avenue apart," Jeffrey Fischer, Vice President, Leasing at Federal Realty, said. "This tenant mix reflects our focus on curating differentiated brands that complement each other while appealing to the surrounding community.”
The location offers access to SEPTA train service to Center City Philadelphia via the Cynwyd line, as well as connectivity to the Main Line and major transportation networks.
Federal Realty's total investment in the Bala Cynwyd on City Avenue development approaches $170 million and includes more than 300 residential units and approximately 190,000 square feet of retail space.
