Bryn Mawr Businesses Decorate for the Holidays

A number of businesses won honors for their decorations.

Holiday lights and decorations abound on Lancaster Avenue in Bryn Mawr businesses' store fronts.

The Bryn Mawr Business Association held a holiday decorating contest, which was judged Friday evening. The contest, with a $100 prize, was announced in an email to business association members from president Kathy Bogosian.

But so many businesses decorated that the contest proved more difficult to judge than expected.

There were four winners: , ,  and .

"Kathy and I felt that the windows were all very different, so we couldn't pick just one, as we had planned to do," wrote Bobbie McElroy, of the Lower Merion Historical Society. "We had picked 4 that we felt were the best and after riding past those 4 several times, decided we should honor all 4 and split the $100 prize between them. We also felt that we should have honorable mentions, because all those windows were also well done."
