Man Killed By SEPTA Train In Delaware County

The man died after being struck by a Regional Rail train Friday morning in Delaware County, according to SEPTA officials.

MORTON, PA — A man died after being struck by a SEPTA train Friday morning in Delaware County.

According to officials, an outbound Media/Wawa Regional Rail line train struck a man who was trespassing near the Morton Station at about 9:25 a.m.

The man died as a result of the strike, authorities said.

SEPTA first announced a "major medical emergency" was delaying the Media/Wawa Regional Rail Line at about 9:30 a.m.

Then, service on the line was suspended from about 9:40 a.m. to about 10:30 a.m.

There were no passengers on the train at the time of the incident.
