Budding Naturalists - Caregiver & Me program
Returning for the fall of 2023, our new program "Budding Naturalists" seeks to foster a connection with nature for our youngest learners.
Program Overview:
Join Riverbend educators on Monday afternoons or Wednesday mornings for a preschool-friendly nature-based program that includes a story, craft, nature activity, and a “hike” around our preserve. Every week we’ll gather in Riverbend’s Snider Barn to begin the fun!
Program Details:
- This program is one hour each week and is designed for children ages 2-5. A caregiver must accompany each child. Siblings under 2 are welcome at no additional charge.
- In the fall of 2023, two sessions are being offered. The cost is $120 per child for each six-week session. Enrollment is capped at 12 participants. The final meeting of every session will include a campfire and s’mores.
- Please register for the Monday or Wednesday session, not both. The same program will be presented on Mondays and Wednesdays each week.
Fall Session 1 will be offered on Monday afternoons or Wednesday mornings:
- Mondays: September 11, 2023 through October 16, 2023, 1:30-2:30 pm
- Wednesdays: September 13, 2023 through October 18, 2023, 10:30-11:30 am
Fall Session 2 will be offered on Monday afternoons or Wednesday mornings:

- Mondays: October 23, 2023 through December 4, 2023, 1:30-2:30 pm
- Wednesdays: October 25, 2023 through December 6, 2023, 10:30-11:30 am
- Please note there will be no programs during the week of Thanksgiving
