First Friday and More Ahead This Week
Happy Monday, Bryn Mawr. Here are five things you need to know to make it through the week.

Below is a quick preview of what's ahead in Lower Merion Township and Narberth this coming week. If we missed anything, which is a distinct possibility, let us know in the comments below.
- On Wednesday at 4 p.m., Penn Wynne Library is hosting a Potterpalooza. Kids in grades one through five are invited to come dressed as their favorite Harry Potter character for an event that will involve Hogwarts games, and even a chance to pose for a picture with Harry. (What a nice collection of books those are. It's great to see them finally getting some attention.)
- It's a bird! It's a plane! Scratch that, it actually birds. Wednesday at 7 p.m., the Bryn Mawr Film Institute's Hitchcock series continues with a screening of horror classic The Birds.
- On Thursday night, join the Friends of the Cynwyd Heritage Trail and the Lower Merion Conservancy for a nature walk that ends with a sunset toast overlooking the Schuylkill. Pre-registration is required and you can find more information at the group's Patch event listing.
- On Friday, First Friday Main Line is, again, coming to Lancaster Avenue. This week's event, which runs from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., celebrates local photography and will feature live music from 'Everyday People.' Swing by the FFML website to get more information on what promises to be a great night.
- It's going to be a busy week in local government. In addition to a pair of conditional use hearings on Monday and Tuesday, a City Avenue Connectivity Plan workshop is slated for Tuesday, and meetings of the Lower Merion Township Building and Planning Committee and Board of Commissioners are scheduled for later in the week.
