Gladwyne, Villanova See Pricier Home Sales This March

The median price of a Bryn Mawr home decreased from the same month last year.

Lower Merion Township home sales in March were up 2.3 percent from the same month last year.

According to a Home Market report from Prudential Fox and Roach Realtors, 44 properties changed hands in the township during March this year.

In 2011, that number was 43; in 2010, it was 49.

Of the properties sold last month in Lower Merion Township, 14 were sold in Bryn Mawr, two were sold in Gladwyne and five were sold in Villanova. (In March 2011, 11 properties sold in Bryn Mawr, four in Gladwyne and five in Villanova.)

The median price of a home sold in Bryn Mawr decreased from $625,000 last March to $565,321 this March—a 9.5 percent decrease.

The median price of a home sold in Gladwyne increased from $1,007,500 last March to $1,146,250 this March—a 13.8 percent increase. The median price of a home sold in Villanova also increased, from $762,000 last March to $1,250,000 this March—a 64 percent increase.
