Gun Allegedly Flashed In Delco Christmas Road Rage Incident: Police

A man told Pennsylvania State Police a driver flashed a gun at him during a road rage incident as he drove along Route 1 on Christmas Day,

MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — A gun was allegedly flashed in a Christmas Day road rage incident in Delaware County, but authorities were unable to confirm a gun was actually displayed.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, troopers were called to the area of Route 1/West Baltimore Pike and Red Roof Drive in Middletown Township at about 8:33 a.m. Thursday.

The victim, a 57-year-old Garnett Valley man, told police someone in a black Honda HRV with an unknown Delaware registration had pointed a gun at him southbound on Route 1 before fleeing around the area of Red Roof Drive.

After the incident, the man drove to Pennsylvania State Police Media Station to report the incident.

However, police said, the victim could not confirm an actual gun was shown and that only verbal threats were made by the suspect.

Troopers canvassed the area to find the suspect and vehicle but yielded no results.

No one was hurt in the incident.
