Harcum College to Celebrate Grand Opening of New Art & Design Center

--A New Hub for Creativity on the Bryn Mawr Campus--

Harcum College will celebrate a major addition to its campus at the upcoming ribbon-cutting ceremony for its newly constructed Art & Design Center. The ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, September 12, at 2:00 p.m. in the West Wing of Pennswood Hall on the Bryn Mawr campus. This event reflects the college's ongoing commitment to fostering creativity and innovation.

The new Art & Design Center will serve as the home for Harcum’s Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, Graphic Design, and Interior Design programs. This state-of-the-art facility opened to students at the beginning of the 2024 fall semester, providing an innovative space for students to explore their creative potential.

The ribbon-cutting event is open to the public and will be attended by Harcum trustees, alumni, donors, students, faculty, and staff. Harcum College President Jon Jay DeTemple and Chair of the Board of Trustees David Jacobson will deliver remarks to commemorate the occasion. After the ceremony, guests are invited to participate in guided tours of the new center to explore the classrooms and creative spaces where students are already engaging in hands-on learning.
