Harcum Men's Soccer Ranked Fourth Nationally

Ranking follows Final Four Appearance in 2021 National Championships.

(September 1, 2021)--(Bryn Mawr, PA)--Following their undefeated 2020-21 regular season and final four appearance in the NJCAA National Championships last June, Harcum's Division I Men's Soccer Team was ranked 4th in the country on August 30, 2021.

The national ranking is a first-time distinction for Harcum's newest varsity sport, established in 2014. Yesterday, they defeated Mercer County Community College, 3-2, scoring early on a
penalty kick and retaining a one-point lead despite a second-period rally from Mercer to tie up the game.

This week's 4th-place national ranking follows a preseason among all Division-I teams, was likewise a singular preseason distinction for the young program,

"It is good to be recognized," said Men's Soccer Head Coach David Hughes. "We put a lot of work into getting to the national stage last season. We understand the season is just starting, but the players are happy to be ranked up inside the top four, and it gives us confidence."

All home games are played at the soccer fields at the Proving Grounds in Conshohocken.
