Hour-By-Hour: Our Plunge to Subzero Temperatures

If it’s felt cold to you the past few days, you ain’t felt nothin’ yet.
Wind chill values on Thursday and Friday will make it feel like negative 20, the National Weather Service said.

Wind gusts could be as high as 35 mph on Thursday, the NWS said. In extreme weather like that, frostbite can develop in as little as 10 minutes.

Here’s the hour-by-hour forecast, according to the National Weather Service:
- Thursday: A slight chance of snow showers before 11 a.m., then a chance for flurries before ending. Partly sunny, with a high near 17. Wind chill values as low as -5. Breezy, with a west wind 16 to 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
- Thursday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around -2. Wind chill values as low as -20. Breezy, with a west wind around 21 mph.
- Friday: Sunny, with a high near 18. Wind chill values as low as -20. West wind 13 to 18 mph.
- Friday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 5. West wind 5 to 7 mph becoming light and variable.
