Incumbents Win Across the Board in Lower Merion Tuesday

The results from Tuesday's election have arrived.

Republican Jenny Brown won the only contested Township Commissioner's race in Lower Merion's second ward Tuesday after she defeated Democratic challenger James Robinson 642 votes to 310 votes.

All results are unofficial until they can be verified by the state board of elections. Results are also from 11:01 p.m., the totals might change slightly.

Other commissioners to win reelection unopposed include Democrat Steven K. Lindner from the fourth ward with 452 votes, Republican Philip S. Rosenzweig from the sixth ward with 528 votes, Republican Anna Durbin from the eighth ward with 648 votes, Republican Scott Zelov from the 10th ward with 672 votes and Democrat Brian A. Gordon from the 12th Ward with 598 votes

The Lower Merion School District will keep the current course as all four members up for reelection won on Tuesday.  

It should be noted that they all ran unopposed.

Here are the unofficial results for the school board race: 

  • Rep - Melissa R. Gilbert 9,629 votes 25.29 percent of the vote
  • Rep - Maureen O'Leary 9,491 votes 24.93 percent of the vote
  • Rep - Benjamin Driscoll 9,455 votes 24.83 percent of the vote
  • Rep - Laurie Actman 9,497 votes 24.94 percent of the vote


Samuel Adenbaum also won the Lower Merion Tax Collector seat after running unopposed.  He won 9,267 votes.
