Longtime Community Activist, Fundraiser, Dies at 85
Ann Moyer served the Philadelphia area in numerous capacities for year.

Ann Stovell Moyer, of Bryn Mawr, Pa., a volunteer and fundraiser, passed away on September 18, 2016 at The Quadrangle in Haverford, Pa. She was 85.
Daughter of the late Thomas P. Stovell and Alice Wilson Stovell, she was born on August 6, 1931 in Philadelphia, Pa. Mrs. Moyer graduated from the Agnes Irwin School. She was on the Agnes Irwin Alumnae Board for 12 years. She was for several years her class representative and fund raiser for the school.

She was a volunteer guide at the Philadelphia Museum of Art for over 10 years. She was Co-Chairman of the Associates Committee for 2 years.
She served on various committees at the Academy of Music and she was Co-Chairman of the 125th Academy Concert and Ball. She was on the board of the Womens Visitors at Hospital of University of Pennsylvania for 10 years. She was on several loan exhibit and decorating house committees of the Philadelphia Antiques Show for over 20 years.

She served for 13 years on the Board of the H.M.S. School for Children with Cerebral Palsy. She was secretary for 4-5 years.
For 27 years, Mrs. Moyer also served on the committee of the Community Clothes Charity. This organization sponsors the yearly designer sale in Strafford. The proceeds benefit needy women and children.
She also loved to travel and collect art and antiques.
She was the wife of the late F. Stanton Moyer. Loving mother of Lisa Moyer Stewardson and the late Edward Evans Moyer, III. Dear grandmother of Ashley Crawford Stewardson and Robert Haines Stewardson.
Service and interment were held at Church of the Redeemer in Bryn Mawr, Pa. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Agnes Irwin School, 275 S . Ithan Ave., Rosemont PA 19010.
