Lower Merion Snow Update: Outages, Delays, Trash Collection, More

As of about 6 p.m. Wednesday, more than 2,750 PECO customers in Lower Merion Township are without power. See more information here.

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA – Lower Merion Township said its offices, facilities, and libraries will open on a two-hour delay Thursday, March 8.

Additionally, crews will collect trash Thursday as long as it is possible, the township said. Not all collections will be able to be made due to road conditions, however.

Back yard collections for Thursday are suspended. Can limits will be waived next week for residents on the Wednesday and Friday routes who may not have materials collected this week, the township said.

As of about 6 p.m. Wednesday, PECO is reporting 2,750 some customers are without power in the township.

PECO crews are continuing to work to restore power to affected customers. To report an outage, contact PECO at 1-800-841-4141.

The Ardmore and Gladwyne fire houses are open as warming and charging centers 24 hours a day. Bryn Mawr and Penn Wynne fire houses are open for warming and charging from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
