Masks Required At All Main Line Health Facilities For Next 2 Weeks

The new mandate comes amid a "significant increase" in COVID-19, flu and RSV cases around the region, according to the healthcare provider.

All patients, employees and visitors will be required to wear masks in clinical and common areas.

BRYN MAWR, PA — For the next two weeks, masks will be required in all Main Line Health facilities.

The healthcare group said this mandate is effective Thursday, Jan. 4 and will last for at least two weeks.

This is due to an increase in COVID-19, flu and RSV cases in the region, the healthcare group said.

"Caring for the community is of utmost importance and this will help to reduce the spread of these respiratory illnesses," a Main Line Health representative said in an email to Patch. "We will actively monitor our respiratory illness rate to determine if masking will be lifted or extended beyond the initial two-week period, as well as review guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Pennsylvania Department of Health and other regulatory agencies."

Main Line Health's facilities include Bryn Mawr Hospital, Lankenau Medical Center, Riddle Hospital, Paoli Hospital, and more.
