Recycled Plastic Bench Installed In Rosemont After Community Effort
Residents of Browning Lane and Meadowood Road and three local businesses collected $1,000 pounds of plastic to have the bench installed.
ROSEMONT, PA — Residents and businesses in the Rosemont neighborhood banded together to get a bench installed, and did so with the environment in mind.
Residents on Browning Lane and Meadowwood Road in Rosemont, as well as Rosemont Beverage, Do It Best Hardware and Viggiano Furniture Delivery, collected 1,000 pounds of plastic.
The effort was part of a community challenge posed by the company Trex, which makes wood alternative building materials.

Over a year, the residents and businesses collected the plastic and eventually submitted their total to the company.
Once the goal is reached, Trex donates a bench made from their materials.

In Rosemont, the new bench is located at Browning Lane Little Free Library at 134 Browning Lane.
