BRYN MAWR, PA — New health safety grades for hospitals have been released by The Leapfrog Group, and Bryn Mawr Hospital has maintained its stellar record

According to Leapfrog's Fall 2022 Hospital Safety Grades report, Bryn Mawr Hospital's grade has remained the same over the past five reports.

Since fall 2020, Bryn Mawr Hospital has earned A grades for overall safety.

In spring 2020, it earned a C.

According to Leapfrog, Bryn Mawr Hospital performs above average in several fields, including blood infections, accidental cuts and tears, patient falls and injuries, communications, and specially trained ICU doctors.

Main Line Health facilities Riddle Hospital and Paoli Hospital were graded A in the new report.

Lankenau Medical Center earned a C grade.

"There are a number of factors that affect where our patients choose to go for their care," said Jack Lynch, CEO and President, Main Line Health. "While we celebrate our hospitals’ strong performance, we should also remember that these grades cannot accurately represent the compassion, humanity, and support that has encouraged patients to choose Main Line Health—again and again—for generations."
