Shipley School Losing Street Parking
Seven spaces are being eliminated during daytime hours to accommodate bus traffic.

The Lower Merion Board of Commissioners' police committee on Wednesday night approved the reduction of street parking in front of the to ease bus loading and unloading.
Roughly three spaces west of the entrance and two east of the exit, currently designated for four-hour parking, would be off-limits from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on school days, and another two between the entrance and exit would be eliminated completely. (See the attached PDF for more details.)
The change would take effect with approval by the full board May 16. It was drafted with the school's cooperation, said Police Superintendent Michael J. McGrath, and with no homes nearby, the parking impact is expected to be limited to the school.
