78 Canon-McMillan High School Students Inducted into National Honor Society

Canon-McMillan High School’s National Honor Society chapter recently inducted 77 juniors and one senior as members.

The evening began with a procession of the candidates led by NHS senior officers  Jennie Brancho, Nicole Witkowski, Brandon Sterling and Matthew Tilley. 

Cheryl Findlay, director of the Student Employment and Placement Assistance Office of the University of Pittsburgh, addressed the students and parents about the importance of planning for college and selecting the right one.

Other highlights of the evening included a performance by Bella Voce, directed by choral director Maggie Sisson. Also, “Student Focus: Arts Advocacy Senior Project,” was presented by seniors Sarah Chelli and Nicole Witkowski. Music was performed by senior Fang Fang and junior John Paul Gaston.

National Honor Society officers for the 2013-2014 school year are: Josiah Hritsko, Rachel Rozek, Shreya Ravi, and Allison Jo Vogrig.
