$940K in Road Improvements Slated in North Strabane

North Strabane Township supervisors on Tuesday approved its 2013 summer road paving maintenance program—one that represents more than $940,000 in improvements.

The contract was awarded to Shields Asphalt Paving Inc. The company was the low bidder.

Here are the roads slated for paving improvements:

• Chubbic Road from Hatfield Lane to state Route 19 
• Galley Road from Linden Creek Road to the Peters Township line 
• Galley Road from the Peters Township line to Waterdam Road 
• Willow Road from Locust Street to the dead end 
• Poplar Street from Locust Street to Summer Brook 
• Poplar Street from Locust Street to Sleepy Hollow Road 
• Sleepy Hollow Road fro Poplar Street to Willow Street 
• Locust Street from Willow Road to the dead end
• Lindley Road from McBride Road to Johnson Road
• Chamber Lane from Weavertown Road to the dead end
• School Street from Weavertown Road to the dead end
• Hook Street from Weavertown Road to the dead end
• Pike Street from the dead end to the dead end
• Township Lane from state Route 519 to Linden Road
• Alley 1 from Weavertown Road to the dead end
• Alley 2 from Pike Street to the dead end
• The public works lot
