Blotter: Man Jailed for Assault; Theft Investigated

A Strabane man was jailed Monday for simple assault and harassment following an incident Friday afternoon.

filed the charges against Donald Adams, 42, after an alleged altercation at 250 Latimer Ave.

Adams was arraigned Monday before district , who remanded him to the Washington County Jail on $5,000 straight bond. Adams later posted bail, and was no longer listed as an inmate Tuesday night.

Theft Investigated in Cecil

William L. Green told Monday afternoon that someone stole two Nappa Auto Parts batteries that were sitting on a tractor at his 388 Swihart Road home.

The value of the batteries was estimated at $261.

Green said the theft occured sometime between Thursday and when he discovered it missing Monday.
