C-M School Board Reorganizes

Link, Monaco new leaders

 last week reorganized, ushering in a new president and vice president.

The board voted in Director Debbie Link as president and Darla Bowman-Monaco as vice president.

Link, who has served previously as school board president, is one of three directors who represent North Strabane Township.

Monaco is one of three directors representing Cecil Township.

After the vote, Monaco told fellow directors that she had reached out to the Pennsylvania School Board Association to ask if the way the board rotates officers by the communities they represent was legal.

She said the representative she spoke with at the PSBA called the practice "questionable."

The matter was referred to the solicitor for further research.

Directors are scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. Monday for a voting meeting. The meeting agenda was not immediately available.
