Canonsburg Event is 'Largest Ever' Electronics Recycling Day in Washington County

Mayor David H. Rhome said the Canonsburg borough building parking lot is filled with recycled items.

Canonsburg Mayor David H. Rhome said Saturday afternoon that the electronics recycling day he co-sponsored with Sen. Tim Solobay wasn't just a success.

"It is the largest-ever electronics recycling event in Washington County," the mayor said around 1 p.m.—with more than an hour left before its close.

He added: "It's overwhelming."

Rhome said that items filled the borough building parking lot on East Pike Street, where folks dropped off their unwanted electronics and other recyclables.
