Downed Tree Causes Closure on Muse-Bishop

Township Manager Don Gennuso said that motorists are advised to find an alternate route until the scene is cleared.

A large tree on Muse-Bishop Road in fell Tuesday morning, becoming ensnarled in power lines and forcing the closure of a portion of the throughway.

Township Manager Don Gennuso said that as of 10:50 a.m. Muse-Bishop was still closed between McConnell and Cumer roads.

Crews from the utility company were called to the scene, he said, although no further information was imediately available.

It was unclear how long the road would remain closed. Gennuso advised motorists to avoid the area.
