Five Things You Need to Know This Week
The Canon-McMillan School Board and North Strabane Township supervisors both meet. And two of our local communities are hosting Easter Egg Hunts this weekend.

Busy week! Here are five things you need to know:
1. Canon-McMillan School Board will hold its voting meeting at 7 p.m. Monday—today, March 18—in the district administrative building. Approval of the 2013-14 school calendar and othe action items are on the agenda. The meeting is open to the public.
2. The North Strabane Township Board of Supervisors will hold its non-legislative meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the municipal building. The meeting is open to the public.

3. Cecil Township's annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Cecil Park. But please note: Registration is due by today, Monday, March 18. You can register by calling 724-745-2227.
4. North Strabane Township's Easter Egg Hunt will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the municipal building. Registration has been set for 9:30 a.m. Saturday. Proof of residency is required for the free event.

5. The women's auxiliary of Cecil Township Volunteer Fire Department will host a spring craft and vendor fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at the fire hall on Millers Run Road. More than 50 tables of unique items will be on display. Organizers said it would be a perfect place to do Easter shopping. Many handmade items will be available, as will well-known vendors such as Usborne Books, Mary Kay and Avon. Everything from jewelry, to porcelain to tutus for little girls will be available.
