Gallery: Cecil Firemen's Carnival Begins Tonight

Just hours before ’s annual carnival was set to begin, workers toiled to put the finishing touches on the games and rides gracing the event.

The parking lot of the department has been transformed into a fun-filled area crammed with food vendors, a ferris wheel and other carnival favorites.

The weeklong carnival opens tonight and culminates with a parade on Miller’s Run Road at 6 p.m. Saturday.

The carnival opens nightly at 7 p.m.
