Get Your Picnic On: Admission Costs Two Dozen Cookies
State Rep. Brandon Neuman said his favorite cookies are chocolate chip—but all residents (and their cookies) are welcome at an upcoming community affair.
State Rep. Brandon Neuman said that when it comes to cookies—he’s a traditionalist. He’ll take a gooey chocolate chip cookie over most others.
But don’t worry: If you’re more of a sugar cookie or snicker-doodle fan, your wares are still welcome at the 14 Annual Community Appreciation picnic next month.
Local folks are invited to attend the picnic, which will be held at the Yoney Pavilion in Town Park in Canonsburg from noon to 4 p.m. Sept. 8—with admission being two-dozen cookies.

Hosted by , D-North Strabane, state , D-Canonsburg, and Mayor David H. Rhome, the state representative said it is an opportunity for people to see their local officials in a more relaxed environment.
“Hopefully, it will make people more comfortable seeking us out for help if they need us,” Neuman said.
