Because today's the day to break out the books and give them a read—this being Dr. Seuss Day.

How did you celebrate the esteemed author today?

State Rep. Jesse White, D-Cecil, donned a Seuss-esque hat and read "The Lorax" to local school children today.

"Celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday a bit early by strapping on my hat and reading 'The Lorax' to 1st and 2nd graders this morning. One of the best parts of this job," he wrote on his Facebook page.
