Help Wanted: Calling All Moms

Dear Canon-McMillan Patch Friends,

My name is Amanda Blu Gillooly, but to most of my friends (and their children), I’m just Aunt Mandy.

And I don’t want to brag here, but I’m also the Greatest Aunt in the Universe according to my BFF and nephew, Nicholas (who turned 7 in November).

But for as much as my mad Aunt Mandy skills have made me popular with kids, I don’t pretend that even the most overzealous auntie can fully relate to what Moms do day in and day out.

That’s where you come in, ladies.

First let it be known: We will be covering more stories and posting more content with you in mind, Moms. And as part of that commitment (and a new, nationwide Patch.com initiative), we are assembling a Moms Council – where you’ll share e-mails, ideas and (parenting war) stories with other local mummies.

We want to help make your life easier by helping you stay informed on the things that matter most to you. From weekend guides to tips for frugal living, to recipe exchanges to where the best meal deals are – we want this Mom Council to be a place for you to chat with fellow parents about the things that matter most to you, whether it’s about kids and cooking, or tips about multi-tasking and working from home.

And believe me: We understand that the family calendar is crazy busy. We understand that multi-tasking is a way of life. So we get it if you are a little wary of getting involved. But we want you to understand that the beauty of the council is that your involvement can accommodate your availability.
