How Canonsburg's Congressman Voted on Bill for Limiting NSA's Surveillance

The legislation failed to pass in the U.S. House on Wednesday.

U.S. Rep. Tim MurphyΒ (R-Upper St. Clair), who represents the Canonsburg area,Β was among the slight majority voting against legislation that would limitΒ National Security Agency's data collection.Β 

The bill would have blocked the NSA from collecting vast amounts of phone records, which has been under controversy sinceΒ Edward SnowdenΒ leaked secret documents describing the surveillance operations.Β
