2 Gunned Down In Public On Pittsburgh Street

PITTSBURGH, PA — Police are investigating the shooting deaths of two men Thursday in Carrick.

At approximately 5:15 p.m., police were dispatched to the 1200 block of Linnview Avenue for a single ShotSpotter alert totaling 12 rounds.

Arriving officers found two men with multiple gunshot wounds. According to Pittsburgh Public Safety officials, the actor fled the scene on foot down Nobles Lane.

Both men were taken to the hospital in grave condition. Upon arrival, both were pronounced dead.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victims as Quaziah Jones, 23, and Damien Powell, 27.

The mobile crime unit arrived to process the scene and recovered two firearms.

Homicide detectives are leading an active and ongoing investigation. The shooting suspect has not been publicly identified.
