Intermittent I-79 Closures to Begin Monday

Beginning April 1, there will be a single lane restriction on Interstate 79 (Southbound) between Exits 41 (Racetrack Road) and Exit 45 (Canonsburg) so that pavement overlay can take place.

In addition, the Exit 43 southbound off ramp and the on ramp to I-79 southbound will be closed and detoured intermittently for pavement work.

These restrictions will occur Sunday evenings through Friday mornings between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. and will be recurring until early August. Marked detours will be in place for ramp closures throughout the project.

Detour for Route 519 to Interstate 79 Southbound (Ramp A)

From Route 519 take Interstate 79 Northbound, take Exit 48 on right to Southpointe / Hendersonville.  Turn left onto Route 1032 Southpointe Blvd. then turn left onto Interstate 79 Southbound. 

Detour for Interstate 79 Southbound to Route 519 (Ramp B)

From Interstate 79 Southbound take exit 41 to Meadow Lands/ Race Track Road. Then turn left onto Race Track Road, turn left onto Interstate 79 Northbound, take Exit 43 on right to Route 519 Houston / Eighty-Four.
