Obituary: Angeline Walleck, Devoted Wife, Mother and Grandmother

Angeline E. Walleck, 97, of , died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012 in Altered Care Noble Pond in Canton, Ohio.
She was born July 27, 1915 in Canonsburg, the daughter of Alessandro James and Maria Gagliardi Lucciola.
She was a lifelong member of in Canonsburg.

She was a homemaker and co-owner of Tony’s Market on Ridge Avenue in Canonsburg, which was a neighborhood store she operated out of her own home.
She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America for more than 50 years, Christian Mothers of St. Patrick Church, the VFW Post 191 (where she served as an officer), and the Grey Ladies of the old Canonsburg Hospital.

She loved cooking and spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed her Italian heritage.
On July 7, 1942 in Indiantown Gap, PA, she married Anthony Thomas “Tony” Walleck, who died April 12, 2000.
Surviving are three sons, Thomas (Deborah) Walleck of Canonsburg, Paul (Robb Walton) Walleck of the state of California, and Philip (Tracy) Walleck of Canton, Ohio. Also surviving is one brother, Alexander Lucciola of Clearwater, Fla.
Surviving also are nine grandchildren: Christina (James) Ford, Janet (Steve Divert) Walleck, Shawn (Denise) Walleck, Patricia (Randy) Baum, Thomas Walleck, Angelina (Kenneth) Evans, Phil (Natalie) Fred and Adam Walleck. Thirteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by a son, John Walleck, five sisters, Ann, Irene, Bessie and two sisters named Mary Ann during early childhood. Two brothers, Sam and Joe Lucciola, also preceded her in death.
Friends will be received from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Friday in the Mario L. DeAngelo Funeral Home at 194 E. College St in Canonsburg.
Prayers will be held in DeAngelo Funeral home at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012 in St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Canonsburg. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery.
