David Howard, 56, of , died Saturday, July 21, 2012 in Washington County Health Center after a prolonged illness.
He was born Feb. 15, 1956 in Washington, a son of Lillian Bellish Howard of Canonsburg and the late Donald W. Howard.
David had a kind and living spirit and brought joy to many people over the years.

Surviving are mother Lillian Howard of Canonsburg, one sister, Diane Howard of Canonsburg, two nieces, Sarah Smathers (Henry) of Charlotte, N.C., and Amanda Moss (Brandon) of North Platte, Neb., one nephew, Jon Gerhardt of Washington, two great nieces and two great nephews.
He was also preceded in death by one nephew, David Gerhart.

Friends will be received from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. today—Monday—at the , 30 E. College St. in Canonsburg, where services will be held at 4 p.m. with the Rev. Donald C. Austin, pastor of Chartiers Hill United Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be private in Forest Lawn Gardens.
