One Killed in Hanover Township Crash—Roadway Closed

One person was killed and three others injured in a two-vehicle crash on state Route 19 in Hanover Township around 1:15 p.m. Thursday.

State police said both the driver and passenger of one vehicle were flown to UPMC-Presbyterian Hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.

The female passenger of the second vehicle was fatally wounded at the scene, while the driver of that car suffered minor injuries and did not need medical attention.

Police said state Route 18 is now closed between state Route 22 and Bavington Road— and that the stretch will re-open upon the completion of the investigation.

The names of those involved in the crash will be released at a later time.
