PennDOT Lifts Weight Restriction on Fraction Road

Due to funding from Act 89, the state’s new transportation plan, a 10–ton weight limit will be removed from a section of Fraction Road (Route 3045) in West Finley Township, Washington County early next week.

Using maintenance funding made possible by Act 89, a 4.575-mile stretch of Fraction Road was repaired and resurfaced from the West Virginia state line to Porter Hill Road. Because of the repairs, the road can handle higher vehicle weights and PennDOT can remove the weight restriction.
