'Perks of Being a Wallflower' Director at Hollywood Theater Saturday

Stephen Chbosky, writer and director of "The Perks of Being a Wallflower," will host "Rocky Horror Picture Show" at Hollywood Theater this weekend.

It's not often that a major Hollywood movie is filmed in your hometown, and it's probably more rare that the director would come back months later for a visit.

That's what Stephen Chbosky is doing this Saturday, when he will host a special showing of "Rocky Horror Picture Show" at Dormont's Hollywood Theater.

Chbosky, an Upper St. Clair native, is the author of the 1999 novel "The Perks of Being a Wallflower." He also directed the movie, which was partly filmed at Dormont's Hollywood Theater last year and hit theaters this month.
