"With that in mind, we the residents of Canonsburg Borough and local communities in the surrounding areas of CanonsburgΒ would like Canonsburg Borough Council to revise the placement of the chairs to be either 24 hours or 48 hours prior to the start of the parade with safety restrictions (the item placed must be a chair, no ropes, no chains and no caution tape).
"With public safety as a concern, we residents of Canonsburg Borough and local communities in the surrounding areas of Canonsburg would also like the council to consider the chaos that could potentially happen at 6 a.m. on the morning of July 4 if thousands of eager (parade-goers) will be trying to get a spot at the same time.
"The placing of chairs prior to the parade gains positive news media for Canonsburg. This parade is something that Canonsburg is very proud of and excited for each year. We the residents of Canonsburg Borough and local communities in the surrounding areas of Canonsburg are proud that Canonsburg has an annual parade that so many people want to reserve their spot for."
