Police: Man Jailed for Grabbing Woman, Spitting in Man's Face

A Colorado man was jailed after said he grabbed a woman’s breasts and buttocks when she refused to allow him to buy her a drink at a local hotel—then spat in the face of the woman’s cousin when he stepped in to help her, investigators said.

Police charged Ryan Barnes, 27, of Bristol, Colo., with disorderly conduct and driving under the influence following the Saturday incident.

Police said the woman, who was not named, summoned officers to the Doubletree Hotel early Saturday—when they discovered Barnes behind the wheel of his vehicle as it sat in the establishment’s parking lot.

Police said Barnes was intoxicated, and refused an officer’s request that he submit to a blood-alcohol test.

Barnes was arraigned before district Judge Larry Hopkins and remanded to the Washington County Jail on $35,000 straight bond. He was no longer listed as an inmate as of Monday morning.

North Strabane police said the high bond was due to Barnes’ out-of-state address.
