Cecil Township Woman's Vintage Engagement Ring Featured on National Website

A Cecil Township woman's vintage engagement ring is one of seven being featured on the national website the Huffington Post. 

Editors were on the search for "rings that are as meaningful as they are beautiful."

"When my husband proposed, he gave me his grandmother's ring," Eileen White—wife of state Rep. Jesse White, D-Cecil—told Huffington Post. "His grandmother and grandfather came over to America from Italy when they were young and he did not have enough money to buy her a proper engagement ring, so he bought her a necklace. After he'd been working and had the money, he gave her this ring which came down through my husband's mother to him.

"I loved the story and I love that it's a family heirloom," she said.
