Teen Wanted by Canonsburg Police Found in Jail

The 18-year-old is accused of driving a stolen car that led police on a chase that allegedly almost hit a local judge.

A Washington was discovered last week in the Washington County Jail.

Christopher Thomas, 18, was wanted on an arrest warrant obtained by for almost hitting district and two others earlier this month while reportedly fleeing in a stolen car.

"It turns out Thomas has been in jail since Wednesday after he and three other teens were arrested for allegedly robbing a pizza delivery driver at gunpoint," the Observer-Reporter newspaper indicated. "When he was arrested by Washington police on robbery charges, Thomas identified himself as Tayshawn Wilson of Canton Township. Washington police (have) refiled charges against Thomas and another co-defendant, (a 15 year old from Pittsburgh), who allegedly gave fake names when arrested."

Online court records show the refiled charges against Thomas include two felony counts of robbery, a felony count of firearms not to be carried without a license and other offenses.

The charges filed Aug. 12 by Canonsburg police stemming from the alleged car chase Aug. 11 included two felony counts of robbery and one felony count of firearms not to be carried without a license.

Jones, 18, was charged with receiving stolen property, resisting arrest and reckless endangement related to the incident, online court records show.
