Two Canonsburg Men Face Harassment Charges After Pepper Spray Incident at Town Park

The alleged incident happened Tuesday night.

Two area teenagers face harassment charges after an alleged incident at Town Park Tuesday night.

Canonsburg police said Ben Long of North Strabane called police Tuesday night to tell officers his son, Josh Long, 20, had been "jumped" by Wayne Bates, 19, of Houston, and James Justice, 19, of Canonsburg, while at Town Park.

Josh Long told police that both teens "physically came after him and swung at him to punch him." The younger Bates also indicated that Justice swung a belt, "nicking" him in the ear and causing a red mark.
