Warmer Temperatures On the Way After Thursday Morning's Record Low

The weekend forecast looks much warmer.

Warmer temperatures are on the way after Pittsburgh experienced a record low temperature Thursday morning.

The National Weather Service in Moon Township recorded an unofficial low temperature of 19 degrees at Pittsburgh International Airport at 6 a.m., which broke the record low of 20 degrees in 1954, according to the Post-Gazette.

The high temperature is in the 50s, with the mercury hitting the 60s on Sunday.

  • Saturday Night: A slight chance of showers after 3 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 45. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
  • Sunday: A chance of showers after 7 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 63. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
  • Sunday Night: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 44. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
