Washington Teen Wanted for Allegedly Stealing Car, Leading Officers on Chase
Police issued an arrest warrant for Christopher Thomas, 18, of Washington, who is accused of driving the car involved in Saturday's high-speed chase.

A Washington teenager is wanted on felony counts of theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property—charges that stem from what police called a high-speed chase Saturday that endangered a local judge and two others.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Christopher Thomas, 18, who also charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, three counts of reckless endangerment, fleeing from police, reckless driving and driving without a license.
Police said he was the driver of a car that had been reported stolen.

Canonsburg police had received a report of a stolen 1990 Chrysler LeBaron Saturday morning, which was spotted by Patrolman Matthew Tharp, according to the Observer-Reporter newspaper.
Tharp attempted to pull the car over, at which point he said Thomas drove off at a high rate of speed.

Police said that three men—including district —were almost struck during the pursuit, which ended on Highfield Avenue.
Tharp said that’s when both Thomas and his passenger, Jamar Jones, 18, also of Washington, fled on foot.
, who needed to be subdued by pepper spray, Tharp said Sunday.
Jones was charged with a felony count of receiving stolen property, resisting arrest and reckless endangerment, according to online court records.
Jones was arraigned Saturday and remanded to the Washington County Jail on a $25,000 straight bond, court records show.
His preliminary hearing has been set for 11 a.m. Aug. 22, according to online court records.
