Young Venetia Woman Dies in Washington Crash
Rebecca Elizabeth Soffel was pronounced dead at the scene, Washington County Coroner Tim Warco said in a release early Saturday.

A young Venetia woman was killed in a one-vehicle crash early Saturday in the City of Washington, county Coroner Tim Warco said in a release.
Rebecca Elizabeth Soffel, 21, of Ivy Lane, was a passeneger in a Jeep that was traveling eastbound in the 200 block of E. Maiden Street when "the operator lost control of the vehicle and struck a utility pole."
Soffell was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which occurred around 12:35 a.m. Saturday, Warco said.

The coroner said in a release that the young woman's death was the result of blunt force trauma, and ruled it accidental.
The operator of the vehicle, who was not named, was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital for unknown injuries.
