Carnegie-Collier Rotary Gets Proclamation From Carnegie

The Carnegie-Collier RotaryClub, District 7300, was pleased and honored to receive a Proclamation from the Carnegie Borough Mayor and Council on February 13th.

Several members of the club were present, including the current Rotary District 7300, Governor Sue Kelly, one of our own,  to receive public recognition for their efforts over the years, since their founding in1924 from a grateful Community.

Mayor Jack Kobistek mentioned a significant but not complete list of projects that have been supported such as, local Meals on Wheels, adult literacy program at our Carnegie Library,  Shoes That Fit for our Elementary schoolchildren, the Carnegie Boysclub, the Salvation Army Christmas and other programs,  Dictionaries for 3rd. grade students, 300,000 meals packed for local Food Banks in the past three years, and providing weekend elementary schoolchildrens' meals.

Our largest endeavor, among many more,  is working in cooperation with the Bill Gates Foundation to eradicate Polio from around the world.  We're almost there.
