Bridgeville Won’t Expand Library Hours... For Now
Bridgeville Public Library's reduced hours will remain the same for the rest of the year, although they might be expanded next year.

The library board decided during its Tuesday night meeting to delay a decision on whether to expand operating hours or open the facility an additional day of the week.
Joyce Heinrich, who is the library’s new fundraising manager, said they have not received enough donations to extend the hours and the board wants to wait until the end of the year to make a decision.

The board discussed in Julyas a way to increase usage from the community.
But Heinrich said opening the building on Sundays seems to be unlikely because that usually is the slowest day of the week. Library officials apparently would prefer to open the building on Mondays or extend the hours slightly across the other five days beginning next year.
